Juveniles Arrested for Violent Crimes Through July 2007
• 62 Guns (75.6%)
• 12 Cutting Instrument/Knives (14.6%)
• 6 Hands, Fist, Feet (7.3%)
• 1 Blunt Object (1.2%)
• 1 Unknown — man found

  • 70.1% of all juveniles arrested for robbery this year had been  previously arrested, all of which had between 1 and 17 previous arrests 
  • There have been 107 unique juveniles arrested for robbery in 2007.  These juveniles have amassed 767 total charges including their most current robbery arrest.  More specifically:
    • 14 Homicide Charges
    • 3 Kidnapping Charges
    • 206 Robbery Charges
    • 49 Weapon Charges
    • 121 Assault Charges (71 Aggravated)
  • The total number of juvenile robbery arrests has increased 37.5% in 2007 YTD compared to the same time period in 2006
  • Juveniles account for 14.1% of all Part I arrests, and 14.0% of all Part I Violent Crime arrests in 2007 YTD
  • There has been a 93.0% increase in the number of juveniles arrested for Part I violent crime offenses in 2007 over 2006 YTD
